Service and Retail Guarantee
The Black Cat Salon guarantees all services and retail products. If you are unhappy with your service, please let us know right away and we will do everything we can to make it right. If the products you purchase are not to your liking, feel free to bring them back and we will be happy to exchange them or refund the purchase price. Some conditions apply.
Where do I park?
Kailua: There is a large metered lot right in front of the salon for 75 cents/hour. We will be happy to feed your meter during your service if needed!
Kaimuki: There is street parking available, both metered parking on the main streets and free parking on nearby streets. There are 5 customer parking stalls in the lot behind the salon, which are clearly marked. However, we share these spots with our neighbors, Holy Smokes and Kimmi Jacob, so they may not always be available. But it’s worth a try! The other spots in the lot behind us belong to residents of the apartment complex, so please do not park in non-customer spots.
How are your prices set?
Because all our stylists are unique and have different specialties and levels of experience, their service prices differ. Our front desk team will go over pricing with you when you call to make your appointment, and your stylist will go over pricing again during your consultation when you arrive. If you have any questions about pricing, please feel free to ask your stylist! Tips are not included.
What’s your cancellation policy?
We do not accept appointment cancellations. Nah! We totally understand if you can’t make it in, but please give us a heads up, 24 hours on weekdays and 48 hours Friday through Sunday. If you make a habit of not showing up for scheduled appointments or cancelling last minute, it may affect your ability to schedule appointments with us in the future–meaning you may have to rely on walk in services.
What’s your child policy?
We love kids and we don’t want to see them get hurt. We use really sharp instruments, very hot tools, and chemicals, so we can’t have kids (or adults for that matter) running around the salon–we don’t want anyone to get hurt. We also want to provide a fun, comfortable environment for all our guests–so if junior is yelling or crying we might have to ask you to make other arrangements for your child (or put a muzzle on him–we keep an extra one in the back). After all, we want you to be able to relax, too.
As far as child’s hair cuts go, we will not perform services on children under the age of 10. This is for their safety as well as the stylist’s. Not all stylists will perform children’s services, so if you are booking an appointment for your child, please mention it when making the appointment. Child’s services are the same price as regular services.
What’s your gift card policy?
Gift cards are not transferable, may not be returned, may not be redeemed for cash or used to purchase another gift card. Service prices are subject to change. Salon packages may not be substituted. The Black Cat Salon is not responsible for lost or stolen cards.
